4 Hour In-Person Training

150 US dollars
514 Limona Road

Service Description

This in-person CTAA Wheelchair Securement Training is designed for transportation professionals responsible for safely transporting passengers who remain seated in their wheelchairs during transit. The course combines classroom instruction with hands-on, in-van training to ensure participants can confidently apply proper securement techniques in real-world conditions. Training follows Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) PASS standards and covers correct use of tiedowns and occupant restraint systems, lift operation, common securement errors, and best practices for working with a variety of wheelchairs and mobility devices. Participants will practice securement inside an actual vehicle, reinforcing safety, compliance, and passenger dignity. This course is ideal for NEMT providers, healthcare transportation staff, and organizations seeking practical, compliant training that goes beyond theory. Please note: This class is in person only and includes both classroom and vehicle-based instruction. A valid CTAA PASS Basic Certificate is required prior to attendance. Advance registration is required, and pre-training instructions will be provided after enrollment.
